Anubis: Drawings for Laser Cutting and Welding Polygonal Low Poly Figure from Sheet Metal DXF
Drawings for assembly of the Anubis from sheet metal.
You will need one sheet of metal 1250 x 2500 mm and one sheet of metal 1250 x 1620 mm.
The final size of the model: 234 (270 height of the staff) х 72 х 54 cm.
Files included:
- DXF file for laser cutting;
- PDF file showing bend angles;
- PDF welding instruction.
Features:
- metal sheet 1.5 mm thick;
- drawing on the front side of the assembled model;
- most of the welds are on the front side;
- total length of cutting line: 137.5 m.;
- the cutting contours of the parts contain holes in the corners to relieve stress and contain notches to define fold lines without engraving;
- fold lines for engraving are marked in different colors according to the bending direction: UP – yellow, DOWN – red.
What to do:
- Cut pieces with laser;
- Engrave fold lines if you wish;
- Assign part numbers with a highlighter;
- Use a sheet bending machine;
- Weld parts;
- Grind welds;
- Design the surface as desired.

When we designing low poly sculptures for assembly from metal, we take into account the thickness of the sheet metal (1.5 mm) and k-factor (coefficient of displacement during bending). The inner bend radius is 1.5 mm. We try to do all the welding on the outside so that the assembled model is as accurate as possible. We recommend using laser cutting and bending machine. But some of our customers cut and bend parts by hand - it takes much longer. Drawings are suitable for any style of work.
